Civil Aviation Transportation Management (English) Program, aims to train qualified intermediate staff for employment in airports and airline companies. It educates graduates equipped with fundamental knowledge of airline and aviation management by offering a coordinated curriculum that includes both business-related and core aviation courses. The program regularly updates its content in line with sectoral demands. Its close cooperation with the aviation industry and various organized events allow students to gain early exposure to professional life before graduation.
Target of Department
Purpose of the Civil Aviation Transportation Management (English) Program is to train professionals who will carry out operations related to passenger and cargo transportation via aircraft and work in the management and operation of civil air transportation. Graduates of the program may work in airline operations (ramp and dispatch) departments or in passenger services units where direct interaction with passengers takes place (such as lost & found, check-in, boarding, etc.).
Therefore, the curriculum is designed to prepare students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary for: reservation and ticketing, terminal and apron services, in-flight services, baggage handling, aircraft loading and weight-balance control, ground handling services, coordination with air traffic control for aircraft parking positions, synchronization with other units involved in flight operations, and the provision of special services to passengers with special needs such as VIP or CIP guests.
In summary, the program trains qualified personnel to work in various units responsible for the coordination and organization of aircraft, cargo, and passenger movements—whether affiliated with the employer’s fleet or not. The two-year associate degree curriculum covers three core areas: operational and technical training, aviation knowledge, and business management. A 30-day internship is mandatory to ensure hands-on experience in the field.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Civil Aviation Transportation Management (English) program may pursue further education by transferring to four-year undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). Alternatively, upon completing their associate degree, they can attend the workforce in various roles within the airline industry or in business-related positions across both the public and private sectors.
