Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Public Relations and Publicity Program students will meet at Rahmi Koç Communication Tools Museum!
A visit to the Rahmi Koç Communication Tools Museum, which will be held for the first and second year students of the Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Public Relations and Publicity program, who are communicators, will take place on Sunday, December 4th.
We will take a tour of the historical journey of communication tools with our students in the collection where very rare examples of important communication tools such as telegraph, dictaphone, gramophone, telephone, camera and television, which emerged with the communication revolution, are exhibited. Various historical communication tools, which young people have never heard of, but which have made quite a splash in its historical period, will be examined with the contributions and briefings of our academic staff during the trip organized for this exhibition.
For example; Zoetrope, the forerunner of modern cinematography, was invented by William Horner in 1834. Another communication tool, the dictaphone, is an ancient recording instrument manufactured by the Columbia Gramophone company, used to translate oral texts dictated by typewriters into written documents using a needle and wax cylinder. A phonograph is a mechanical communication tool based on the repetition of predetermined sounds on a record or a special material such as a record. We invite all our students to visit these communication tools and many other exhibition objects.
* The tour will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 13:00. Students who want to participate in the trip can reach the program instructors.
