Financial results for 2021 were shared by Turkish Airlines Teknik AŞ. THY Teknik achieved a growth of 15.7 percent compared to the previous year, making a profit of 1 billion 34 million dollars and increasing its market share to 1.6 percent.
The pandemic, which made its impact felt globally with the beginning of 2020 and brought the aviation industry to a standstill, also negatively affected Turkish Airlines Technic Inc., which operates in the aircraft maintenance-repair-overhaul sector, one of the aviation sub-categories. Having achieved more than one remarkable success in 2021 by eliminating this negative effect in a short period of time, Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. has obtained the base maintenance authority for Istanbul Airport C/D Hangars. The MRO leader, who carried out the base maintenance activities of the Boeing 787 type aircraft for the first time, increased the number of landing gear maintenance numbers by 40 percent and enlarged the landing gear maintenance-repair capabilities.
