Purpose of Department

The aim of the program is to train personnel who have a command of new generation technology based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and who will meet the needs of qualified personnel who will take part in areas such as UAV usage and UAV-based electronic/mechanical equipment production, software integration and UAV maintenance and meet the needs of qualified personnel in the aviation industry in our country and in the world and in all sectors that produce for this industry.


Target of Department

The target of the program is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills in areas such as the working standards of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle systems, flight dynamics, material knowledge, aerodynamic structure, avionic systems and maintenance procedures, especially in the aviation industry. In addition, it is to provide an infrastructure that will enable students studying in the program to direct the future with UAVs, which are considered as the technology of the future.


Career Opportunities

Students studying in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology and Operatorship program will be able to take part in a wide variety of sectors. It can actively take part in areas such as agricultural applications, search and rescue and firefighting applications, aerial photography and film industry, construction and city planning, air logistics and cartography, especially in the defense industry and aviation industry.


Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer

Undergraduate transfer can be made to the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology and Operatorship programs of Vocational Schools.


Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer
Since the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology and Operatorship Program is a new program, there is no clear information in the OSYM DGS 2020 Guide data about which department students who will graduate from the program can switch to with DGS. In this context, it is thought that the OSYM 2021 reports will include DGS data on the students who will graduate from the program.
