 ABOUT APPLICATIONS FOR SINGLE COURSE EXAM AND GRADE INCREASING EXAM!

Dear Students,

Our graduate students can fill out the form below between 26.08.2023 - 08.09.2023 to apply for the 2022-2023 Summer Single Course and Grade Upgrade Exam to myo@gelisim.edu.tr with the extension *****@ogr.gelisim.edu.tr student e-mail addresses must be sent.

Exams will be held online on 13.09.2023.

Single Course Exam

Students who are in the graduation stage and have only one theoretical-weighted course that they have failed before can apply for the exam.

Grade Increasing Exam

Students who have passed the exam successfully and conditionally and who cannot graduate because their GPA is less than 2.00 out of 4.00 can apply for the exam.

Note: Applications sent after 17.00 on 08.09.2023 will not be processed.

The directives regarding the students who have the right to take the relevant exams in the IGU Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations are listed below:

 "ARTICLE 25 (7) (Amended :O.G. -13/6/2018-30450) – Student who have achieved or conditionally achieved, apart attendance condition, all classes except one provided on the education program, are held on one class exam of the relating class  on dates indicated on academic calendar, through a petition submitted to office of the relating dean/director, without seeking fulfillment of enrollment clause. The student  who fails one class exam is obliged to enroll to the same class during following academic semester. After the retake of the class, s/he may attend one class exam on dates  indicated on academic calendar."

 “Article 25 (9): (Amendment: OG-13/6/2018-30450) Has taken all the courses in the curriculum and has been successful or conditionally successful; but could not graduate because their GPA is less than 2.00 out of 4.00; Associate degree students are given the right to take an exam to increase their grade point average on the dates specified in the academic calendar, for the last two semesters, and undergraduate students for the last four semesters. In order for the student to take the exam to increase the grade point average, he/she must notify that he/she wants to use the exam right by applying to the dean's office/directorate with a petition stating the courses to be taken for the exam. Students who fail the exam to increase their grade point average can take the exam to increase their grade point average again in the following academic term, with the same application conditions, without requiring registration for the courses. The grade obtained in the GPA raising exam is treated as a success grade.”
