 Orientation week completed at Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School
The orientation week completed at Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School. An orientation week was organized by Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School to accelerate introducing of new students and academicians to the academic and administrative structure and adaptation to the university environment.
The orientation programs where experienced academicians within İGMYO took place started with the opening speech of Istanbul Gelisim University Vice Rector. Dr. Nail Öztaş on 20.09.2019. Öztaş gave an informative speech to the new academicians about academia and our university. The orientation continued with the speeches of Principal of Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Assist. Prof. Dr. İsmail Cem Ay, Vice Principal of Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Lecturer Ferhat Perçin, Electronic Document Management System Coordinator Emine Taş, Director of Student Affairs Office Elif Hoşalay and Director of IT Deparment Hayrullah Sezikli.

The next orientation program was for students. The trainings introduced by the academicians who are specialists in their fields to the new students were held in 32 different sessions with the participation of more than 2000 students. Besides, the “Student Handbook” prepared by the lecturers Gürcan Kurt, Hülya Ateşoğlu, Ferit Arda Arıca, Volkan Budak, Sevgi Kavut, Bülent Okay, Görkem Gülay Doğan and Atilla Akalın, which was used in the trainings and shared to the students on www.myo.gelisim.edu.tr, was introduced and they were told that they would use this book throughout their education life. In addition, the “Academician Handbook” prepared by the same academicians was also given to academics on digital media.
Finally, we would like to thank all the academicians and students who attended closing the orientation week held on 30.09.2019 and wish them a successful academic year.
