 Istanbul Gelisim University Machinery and Metal Technologies Department, Machinery Program Students Visited the Defense Industry Fair
Organized Defence Industry fair trip is accompanied by, Head of Machine and Metal Technologies Department Lecturer Enes KALYONCU, Head of Machinery Program Lecturer Yasemen KARAMAN, Company Assistant General Manager Meltem UYGUN and Human Resources Specialist Kübra ERKAN.
The machinery program students had the opportunity to ask questions to the officials during the fair tour and had the chance to get detailed information about how the products were produced. They also had the opportunity to meet with employers at the fair, and they were informed about the future opportunities in terms of both job positions and internships.

At the fair, aircrafts, tanks, weapons, armored vehicles and spare parts produced in the defense industry were examined, and the material properties and usage areas of these products were explained by producer representatives. Thus it has been possible for our students to explore the sector.

After the fair trip, Burakcan Glassmold Company held a short meeting with our teachers and students and informed them about the number of CNC machines in their company, the processing capacity, and they mentioned that they could offer internship and job opportunities to our students.
