The historical places of Istanbul were introduced in the project, which was organized with Erasmus students who chose Gelisim University for education from many countries. The project, which started with a tour of Topkapı Palace, continued at the Hagia Sophia Museum. For lunch, the students preferred to take their foreign friends to eat meatballs in Sultanahmet.
After seeing the Basilica Cistern, the project ended with a coffee in Sultanahmet, where the students chatted about each other and their cultures, and learned about each other's cultures. Tourist guidance in all these historical places, which were visited and introduced to foreign students, was done by the club students.
Before the implementation of the project, research and survey studies were conducted on the Perception of Istanbul in the Eyes of Foreigners conducted by the members of the Public Relations and Social Responsibility Club of Istanbul Gelişim University. These studies; Under the leadership of Istanbul Gelişim University Public Relations and Social Responsibility Club Consultant Assist. Prof. Emel Tozlu and Istanbul Gelişim Vocational School Head of Marketing and Advertising Department Lect. Fulya Beteş, students; It was presented by Ali Oğulcan Değer, Cemal Batuhan Kaya, Dilan Bayram, Emel Sivri, Fırat Salhan, Gözdenur Gür, İrem Çetin, Merve Coşar, Rumeysa Kuru, Semra Esgün, Serap Çevik, Şevkiye Yel, Taha Aydın and Tuğba Sekmen.
As a result of the researches, only 43% of the survey participants stated that tourists have information about Istanbul. 59% of the participants think that Istanbul is historically rich. On the other hand, 47% stated that they strongly agree with the idea that foreign visitors make a great contribution to our country in terms of tourists.
Erasmus students studying at Gelişim University stated that they are very happy to be involved in such a project and to visit Istanbul under the guidance of their friends and learn about the history of the city.
