At the first stage of the project for animal rights, the stand with sales products was opened at Istanbul Gelişim University. Many products were sold at the stand and donations were collected. With the donations collected and the income of the products sold, the medicine needs of sick or injured animals were met.
Cat House Settlement Around Avcılar
In the second phase of the project, the food and water containers prepared by the students were placed at the designated points in Avcılar together with the cat houses. Food donated by the students were placed in the food containers. The cat houses located in Avcılar region became a home for cats living on the street to take shelter in bad weather conditions.
Questionnaire for 100 Students
During the research phase of the project, questionnaire studies were conducted on the animal rights awareness of Istanbul Gelişim University students. According to the survey results; 67% of the participants stated that they did not make their social media posts about animal rights in order to appear ostentatious. 45% stated that they intend to help organizations working for animal rights. 36% of them stated that they are undecided about whether they have enough information about animal rights studies in our country. 60% stated that they did not find it appropriate to use animals in experiments.
