 Our University Sustainability Status Report Has Been Published




United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; it is listed in 17 categories as “End Poverty”, “End Hunger”, “Healthy and Quality Life”, “Quality Education”, “Gender Equality”, “Clean Water and Sanitation”, “Accessible and Clean Energy”, “Decent Work and Economic Growth” , “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, Reducing Inequalities”, “Sustainable Cities and Communities”, “Responsible Production and Consumption”, “Climate Action”, “Life in Water”, “Life on Land”, “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” , “Partnerships for Purposes”. In the Sustainability Status Report published for the first time, the practices of Istanbul Gelişim University regarding 17 categories within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals draw attention. Thus, Istanbul Gelişim University continues to stand out with its sustainability efforts.
 
The Sustainability Status Report contains data on the goals, objectives, policies, actions, research and rankings of Istanbul Gelişim University. With the vision of being a World University, Istanbul Gelişim University has prepared the Sustainability Status Report to evaluate the status of its studies, objectives and policies. Istanbul Gelişim University, which attaches importance to sustainability studies since the day it was founded, presented the sustainability studies carried out in 2022 and before in the related report.
 
Aiming to contribute to the creation of a sustainable world by disseminating perceptions, attitudes, values and behaviors towards sustainability, Istanbul Gelişim University proved its success in the field of sustainability in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2022 ranking. Times, Higher Education is a UK-based organization that ranks the world's leading higher education institutions. It was ranked in the "Quality Education" category in the 2022 list of Impact Ranking in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Istanbul Gelisim University increased its rank from 24th in 2021 to 16th in 2022 among 1180 world universities. It continues to maintain its first place among Turkish universities.
