Karapınar SPP, which will increase the share of solar energy in Turkey's electricity production to 20 percent when completed, will be the largest power plant in Europe and the 5th largest in the world. Ziya Altunyaldız, Head of BMM Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission, gave information about the situation in Karapınar SPP, which is under construction. He stated that 812 thousand 303 megawatt-hours were produced at the power plant, where the installed power reached 628 megawatts. He reminded that the total installed power will be 1300 megawatts and 3.5 million solar panels will be used.
