Google art and culture has compiled a list of more than 500 museums and galleries that you can visit virtually. Some museums have online tours including recently restored Galerie D'apollon, Louvre, MoMA and iconic artists like Matisse and Picasso. It is a well-timed feature that invites people to enjoy art, music and more from the comfort of their own home, as many of the world's most famous cultural institutions have closed their doors and the world is more adapted to a lifestyle at home. While the Vatican museums offer tours of the 360-degree Sistine Chapel and Raphael rooms, the Van Gogh Museum shares more than 200 paintings from the Dutch post-impressionist, 500 drawings and more than 750 letters. The 16th-century halls of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence can be explored with Google maps, as all of Italy's museums and galleries are closed at least until April.
The Mexican national museum, Museo Nacional De Antropología, is the largest and most visited place in the country. The platform allows users to browse featured museum collections or use Google's inner street view to navigate the gallery halls.
