Interior Design 2025-2026 Year-End Exhibition

The projects, furniture, and design works prepared by the students of the Interior Design Program throughout the 2025-2026 Fall and Spring semesters came together at the year-end exhibition. The event, held in the Foyer Area in front of the G Block Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall on June 8, 2026, offered visitors a creative exhibition experience. Serving as a summary of the intensive one-year academic process of the Interior Design Program, the exhibition featured the outputs of project, furniture, and application courses conducted under the supervision of Lecturer Duygu Ersoy Hocamoğlu, Lecturer Hülya Algur Marşoğlu, Lecturer Kevi Beqiraj, and Lecturer Selin Rüya Çakır. The opening of the exhibition was carried out by the Vice Director of the Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taner Atasoy; we express our gratitude to him for his support. Reflecting the multidimensional structure of design education, the exhibition included scaled furniture designs, furniture models, and technical drawings produced within the scope of the courses 'Design and Space Research I', 'Interior Design Project I-II', 'Interior Application Project', 'Mobile Living Units', and 'Furniture Design I'. The furniture created on various themes within the scope of 'Furniture Design I' became the focus of the exhibition this year, as it is every year. Scaled model works based on the different themes studied throughout the semester within the scope of the course were also exhibited. Additionally, two-dimensional and three-dimensional works created by first-year students in accordance with the design principles of the 'Design and Space Research I' course were also featured in the exhibition. In addition to these course outputs, the workshop projects where students transformed their theoretical knowledge into practice were among the most striking parts of the exhibition. Innovative and functional designs resulting from the 'Modular Textures: From Surface to Volume Workshop' and the 'Shaping Vertical Surfaces: Modular Wall Units Workshop' held during the semester were presented to the visitors. The event began with the official opening held at 12:30 PM on June 8, 2026. Immediately after the opening, the exhibition area was toured in the company of the program's instructors, and guests had the opportunity to listen to the conceptual backgrounds and design processes of the projects directly from the students. The exhibition, held in the Foyer Area in front of the G Block Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Conference Hall, remained open to all academics, students, and guests interested in design until 5:00 PM on June 10, 2026.
