The results of the Denim Idea Design Competition, which was held for the first time by the COLIN'S brand last year, were announced at the final evening held in Grand Pera. Çağla Işıl Karatan from Mimar Sinan University won the competition with the theme of "If the World Could Talk", in which sustainable designs were prepared with students studying in the Fashion and Textile Design departments of universities, while Meryem Taşoğlu from Marmara University won the second place and Sezer Sefil from Mimar Sinan University won the third place.
This year, Colins brand is organizing a Denim Idea Design Contest with the theme "If the World Could Talk" for a sustainable world. Within the scope of this competition; 20 finalists will be determined by pre-selection among all Fashion and Textile Design students in Turkey applying to the competition. 20 determined finalists will be entitled to participate in denim and sustainability seminars given by famous designers and global trainers. After the seminars, young designers will be involved in a production process that lasts for 6 weeks and will produce two separate works, one commercial and the other artistic. The works that emerged at the end of this process will be evaluated by the members of the selection committee and exhibited with a fashion show at the grand gala to be held in Istanbul. First, second and third place winners receive various awards; The winning design will be produced and sold in Colin's stores, with the proceeds donated to a sustainability-based foundation.
