Pastry and Bakery Program In the 2022 - 2023 academic year, Istanbul Gelisim University Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Culinary Department, Pastry and Bakery Program was opened. Anyone who is interested in the department will be able to choose the Pastry and Bakery Program in their YKS preferences between 27 July - 5 August.

In the 2022 - 2023 academic year, Istanbul Gelisim University Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Culinary Department, Pastry and Bakery Program was opened. Anyone who is interested in the department will be able to choose the Pastry and Bakery Program in their YKS preferences between 27 July - 5 August.
For detailed information about the Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School Culinary Department, Pastry and Bakery Program, our student candidates can contact the academicians in charge within the Gelisim Tower campus area between July 20 and August 5, they can request to visit the areas (classrooms and kitchens) where the courses of the program will be taught from the staff in charge.
The Food and Beverage Industry is a service sector with a wide range of working opportunities. After the development and satisfaction in the trainings in the fields of Gastronomy and Culinary, specific specialization has become increasingly important and has become a necessity. Baking, one of the oldest professions in the world, is also among this sector.
It is stated in the current economic news that there is a shortage of personnel to be employed in the bakery. Bakers who offer employment opportunities with a salary of up to 10 thousand TL stated that they need the workforce to work on the production line of bakery products such as cakes, bagels and desserts. Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry 7th Group (Bread, flour and bakery products) Vocational Committee Vice President Ali Danış stated that the masters prefer to work in big hotels and that they have difficulty in finding personnel. If the number of satisfied specialist personnel is high, the employment gap in the pastry and bakery fields, where high salaries are offered, will be closed.
