Functional nutrition training will be given by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality between 3-10 June or 22-29 July.
The training aims to gain knowledge and skills on topics such as how and by which method the body should consume the nutrients needed for a healthy diet, how to protect the existing body's health, and how to make a nutrition plan to improve or reduce the risk of disease.
Today, due to the increase in chronic diseases (diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity) caused by malnutrition, the interest in the relationship between nutrition and health has increased. As it is known, healthy nutrition is; Adequate and balanced intake of six essential nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals). Functional food can be an active ingredient in the natural structure of the food, or it is defined as foods that have positive effects on health by enriching them with bioactive elements with technological applications. Example; vegetables, fruits, dairy products, cereals, eggs with omega-3 supplements, oligosaccharides with prebiotic benefits, and resistant starch
The training will be held on two different dates, June 3-10 and July 22-29, for 16 hours. There are no prerequisites for participation and training will be held with a limited quota (20 people). Participants will be given a certificate by holding an exam after the training.
