25th October World Pasta Day
World Pasta Day was Celebrated on October 25.
Since 1998, World Pasta Day has been celebrated on October 25 every year under the leadership of the International Pasta Organization. In celebrations, it is emphasized that pasta is delicious, healthy and sustainable. To look at the history of pasta, a lot of information is shared. According to the legend, Venetian Marco Polo first encountered pasta in China in the 13th century, and then pioneered it to come to Italian cuisine. And pasta, known as Maccheroni, has survived to this day with its different shapes and cooking techniques. However, some Italians reject this situation and strongly defend that the homeland of pasta is Italy.
To examine pasta as production, it is produced from flour, water and salt in accordance with the technique. According to the Turkish Food Codex Communiqué, it is classified as plain, whole wheat, flavored, enriched, fortified, and with added vitamins and minerals.
There are 12 types of pasta known today. These are:
Spaghetti: it is like a thong. It is thin and long.
Linguine: it is long like spaghetti, but narrow and flat.
Fettuccine: it is flat and long.
Baked pasta: it is a thicker and hollow form of spaghetti.
Lasagna: it is in leaf shaped.
Auger Macaroni: it is curved.
Penne: it is a thick and thin cut pasta known as fusilli.
Butterfly: it is a pasta with two curved wings.
