The 8-part documentary "Ankara Apartmanları (Apartment Buildings)” " started on GAIN on April 20 under the consultancy of Seda Özen Bilgili and Umut Şumnu.
Ankara, which was re-established after becoming the capital, is one of the most important witnesses of the physical development brought by the Republic and modernization. The apartment buildings, which are examples of civil architecture as well as the public buildings that make up Ankara's urban identity, have a great deal of importance. The documentary, which includes architects who had influences in the 20th century such as Mimar Kemalettin, Danyal Çiper, Nejat Ersin, Sabih Kayan, Lemi Varnalı, Nejat Tekelioğlu, Mutahhar Baykam, Demirtaş Kamçıl and Rahmi Bediz since the 1920s, consists of 8 episodes of 20 minutes each.
