One of the important works of the Byzantine Empire, the 1500-year-old Basilica Cistern was renovated and opened on the evening of July 22. The historical Basilica Cistern, which is under the ownership of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), was made resistant to earthquakes with the completed restoration works, and the depth of the structure was increased by shortening the distance between the audience.
