Rocket Fragment Crashes into the Dark Side of the Moon

Scientists have announced that a 12-meter-sized space debris hit the dark side of the Moon. The collision, which took place at a speed of 9,000 kilometers per hour, is thought to have created a crater about 20 meters on the surface of the Moon.

Exactly where the litter hit the moon cannot be predicted. Observer Bill Gray said, "If it were a stone, we could be absolutely sure. But space junk can be a bit misleading."
