Facebook (Meta) Announces It will Shut Down the Facial Recognition System

In a blog post, Meta’s (formerly Facebook) Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, Jerome Pesenti, has stated that due to social concerns, the facial recognition system available in the application will be shut down and users’ data will be completely deleted.
