Times Higher Education (THE), known as the 'Oscar of Higher Education', announced the 'University Impact Ranking' (2020), which aims to measure the contributions of universities to the sustainable development of societies. In the ranking, Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) was ranked 96th among the top 100 universities in the world that provided the highest quality education, and ranked 1st from Turkey. In the general ranking, IGU ranked among 600 universities in the world, leaving 19 Turkish universities behind.
RANKED 1st AMONG THE PARTICIPANTS FROM TURKEY
In the ranking, which was realized in line with the 17 sustainable development goals determined by the United Nations (UN), and evaluating the contributions of universities to the society with their studies in the field of education and innovative projects, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) surpassed many universities and managed to become one of the top hundred universities in the world under the title of "Quality Education". Under the title of "Quality Education", Istanbul Gelişim University was ranked 1st among 34 universities from Turkey.
AT THE HIGH STEPS
In the impact ranking where 2018 data were evaluated, Istanbul Gelişim University was ranked in the top 200 in the world and 6th in Turkey with its work in the field under the titles of "Healthy Life and Clean Energy". Although IGU does not have a Faculty of Medicine, it ranked at the top with the world's leading universities in these categories.
