Brain Chips are not Allowed to Be Tested on Humans

Neuralink is a company founded by Elon Musk that aims to improve the interface between the human brain and the computer. It develops brain chips and electrodes for this purpose. The company's goals include helping people with paralysis, improving the treatment of neurological disorders, and helping to integrate the human brain and artificial intelligence more effectively. It is stated that the safety issues of Neuralink's brain-computer interface (BCI) project need to be resolved before it can move on to human testing, so the FDA has rejected its application for human trials.

It is stated that the safety issues of Neuralink's brain-computer interface (BCI) project need to be resolved before it can move on to human testing, so the FDA has rejected its application for human trials.

The company could not pass the human tests, as it caused the death of many pigs in its experiments. Although human tests have not been done yet, it is emphasized that cooperation with the FDA on this issue is required. The possibility of releasing a product to the market for the brain chip project praised by Elon Musk seems very distant for now. The FDA seeks assurance that the battery used in this technology may fail because, in the event of failure, the discharge of electrical current or heat energy from a ruptured package can burn the surrounding tissue. There has also been concern that due to the small size of the electrical wires that run into the gray matter in the brain, the device could potentially cause health problems if it had to be removed altogether. Neuralink CEO Elon Musk had claimed that the company would receive FDA approval for human trials by spring 2023. However, it was stated that the FDA rejected the company's application due to concerns about the safety of the brain chips, and many problems need to be resolved, such as the risks of migration of the brain chips, inflammation, and damage to fragile tissue. Musk claimed that the brain chips would give paralyzed people full mobility and could record and replay people's memories.
