A new Turkish solution called 'Azab' has joined Kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), one of the products that have attracted the most attention in the defense industry recently. Robit Teknoloji developed the Azab kamikaze, which has a universal delta wing structure, and carried out flight tests. Explosive tests are planned in the near future with Azab, which has a long driving range and large payload. Robit Teknoloji Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Director Selçuk Fırat said in a statement that the 15-year-old company mainly operates in the field of information and security and that they have been working to develop solutions for the defense industry recently. He added that the product they have been calling "Azab" for 2 years is a universal kamikaze UAV. "We can modify and integrate the heads as we wish. We can also use the existing heads in stock," said Fırat.
Revealing the stage that Azab has reached, the Euphrates said, “Azab flies and dives towards its target. We did all the flight tests. Let's move on to the ammunition tests. We will also make ammunition in the coming months. We're currently testing the trigger mechanism, and we're also at the part where it goes on autopilot when it hits the target and says, "I'm destroying myself now." We expect to finish the ammunition tests by mid-year or in the third quarter of the year. We are ready for production. Selçuk Fırat noted that Azab can be equipped with special ammunition and that the security forces can also use explosive caps in their hands. Emphasizing that this is a platform and that it can be shaped and used as desired, Fırat said: There is no limitation in this regard and Azab can serve with flammable, incendiary and flammable projectiles.
