President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to give his name to the national warplane at the "Next Century Programme" held at TAI's headquarters in Ankara. MMU, Turkey's most important technological development project, is managed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ). The MMU will replace the F-16, which is in the Air Force Command's inventory and is planned to be phased out from the 2030s. Turkey will become one of the countries with the infrastructure and technology to produce the fifth generation warplanes. Thanks to the project's research in technological areas such as low view range, internal weapon solution, high maneuverability, enhanced situational awareness and sensor fusion. Speaking at the ceremony, TAI General Manager Temel Kotil announced that ANKA 3 will fly in 2 weeks. Defense Industry President İsmail Demir made important statements in the "Next Century Programme".
Defense Industry President İsmail Demir's statements are as follows: "We are improving our presence in this field with ANKA-3, which undertakes different tasks than the Red Weapons. We will also fly ANKA-3 in the coming days. The first humanoid aircraft of our country was produced and flown at these HURJET facilities. Our ATAK helicopter entered the list and The development of GÖKBEY has brought us to a position that few countries have reached in this sector. ATAK's older brother, ATAK-2, is here. This has brought us to a level that few countries have achieved. The National Combat aircraft is our most ambitious aircraft in the sector. I congratulate all our employees with my sincere wishes.
