Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that 6 million 678 thousand passengers preferred air transportation during the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday and said, "More than 3 million passengers were served at Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport." Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated the number of people who preferred the airline during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Noting that the plane traffic in Turkey was 17,108 on domestic lines and 26,708 on international lines, during 8-17 July, he noted that the total number of landing and take-off plane traffic was 43,816.
              Karaismailoğlu stated that there was a high passenger density at the airports during the holiday, and said, "A total of 6 million 678 thousand passengers traveled by plane, 2 million 441 thousand on domestic flights and 4 million 237 thousand on international lines." He stated that Istanbul Airport, which is among the mega projects of Turkey and attracts attention with the awards it has received, has a total of 13,381 aircraft traffic, of which 3 thousand 617 on domestic lines and 9 thousand 764 on international lines.
 Karaismailoğlu said, “At Istanbul Airport, where it is said that no one will fly from there during the construction; passenger traffic was 562 thousand 435 in domestic lines and 1 million 597 thousand in international lines. He stated that in total, 2 million 159 thousand passengers preferred Istanbul Airport and realized their transportation.
