Boeing signed a supply agreement with HMS Makina, one of the Turkish companies producing for the aviation industry. Headquartered in Manisa, the company will manufacture various parts for Boeing 737 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft under this contract.
This first agreement that Boeing signed with HMS Makina for direct supply also represents an important step for the integration of the Turkish aviation industry into global value chains. HMS Makina, which has been an indirect supplier of Boeing for more than 17 years, will be able to supply products directly to Boeing with this contract. In addition to this contract, HMS Makina will continue to supply components to Boeing's other manufacturing partners.
