Uludağ Triggers a Red Alert!
Turkey's important winter tourism center Uludağ triggers a red alert due to misuse and improper activities.
Assoc. Prof. Gökhan Özsoy, who is a lecturer from the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition of the Faculty of Agriculture in Bursa Uludağ University, stated that in the research conducted between 1985-2019, Uludağ National Park was damaged significantly due to ecological misuse. It was stated that the green areas in the national park decreased, endemic species disappeared and the rocky areas increased rapidly due to the uncontrolled construction, tourism activities and uncontrolled animal grazing.
