The Ranking of Countries That Bring the Biggest Amount of Foreign Currency to Turkey in Tourism
Mastercard published the statistics of the countries that have brought the biggest amount of foreign exchange to Turkey in the first six months of 2022.
Mastercard statistics, which controls a significant portion of expenditures all over the world, announced the tourism data for the first six months of 2022.
According to the data, 95% of the tourists coming to Turkey are pleased with the climate of Turkey, 70% are pleased with the hotels, and 86% leave Turkey overall satisfied. In the report, the average length of stay in Turkey is stated as 4.5 nights. When the expenditure items of the tourists are examined, the order of sequence is observed as retail, accommodation, health and beauty, medical, transportation, market and restaurant.
The countries that bring the biggest amount of foreign currency to Turkey are revealed to be Russia, Germany, England, America, Netherlands, Kuwait and Qatar.
