The Basilica Cistern Reopened to Visitors
After the completion of restoration works going on since 2017, the Basilica Cistern has been reopened to visitors. The cistern, which attracts great attention from both local and foreign visitors with its renewed atmosphere, witnesses long queues. The entrance fees to the Basilica Cistern, for which the museum card is not valid as it is not affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, are 50 TL for local visitors, 190 TL for foreign visitors, and 20 TL for students and teachers. Due to the great interest, it is recommended to buy tickets online or to opt for tourist guided tours in order not to wait in line for a long time.
