Reservation Warning from THY and Pegasus to Earthquake Zones
Having decided to perform evacuation flights without reservation from the provinces affected by the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, THY and Pegasus announced that they have resumed reservations.
Turkish Airlines (THY) and Pegasus Airlines, which carried out evacuation flights after the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and caused devastation in 10 provinces, lifted the reservation practices until February 13 for flights to be made from the region.
Noting that the internet and systemic problems in the region have been resolved to a great extent, THY Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Ahmet Bolat announced on his social media account that the reservation system has started again for evacuation flights from within the region, but the flights will continue to be free of charge. Bolat said, “Relatives, neighbors or friends in different cities of our passengers who do not have access to our systems can also make reservations on their behalf.”
In the statement made through Pegasus, it was stated that "Ticketing is required before arriving at the airport for admission to all evacuation flights to be made from Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Adana, Diyarbakır, Elazığ and Şanlıurfa airports as of 09:00 on Monday, 13 February. Priority will be given to passengers who book tickets in advance. We would like to inform you that passengers who do not book tickets can only be taken to evacuation flights if there are vacant seats on the planes.”
