In the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, Duygu Alici, a student of Istanbul Gelisim University Vocational School of Sports Management, has won 3 gold medals.
Coming on the podium in the 49 kg-competitions held at TUYAP Fairground, Duygu Alici won three gold medals with 78 kg in the snatch, 94 kg in the clean and jerk and 172 kg in total. National team captain Saziye Erdogan finished the competition with three silver medals with 77 kg in snatch, 96 kg in clean and jerk and 170 kg in total. Turkmenistan athlete Yulduz Jumabeyeva won the bronze medal with 74 kg in the snatch, 93 kg in the clean and jerk and 167 kg in total.
