 New Trends Seminar in Sports Marketing




Our seminar on "New Trends in Sports Marketing" by the Entrepreneurial Athletes Club, which was established within the body of Istanbul Gelişim University Vocational School Sports Management and Physical Education and Sports, was held on December 25, 2018 between 13.00 -15.00 at the Gelişim Tower Auditorium. Our guest, Burak GÜRKAN, is a graduate of Marmara University, School of Physical Education and Sports, and has an MBA from Yeditepe University. He is a valuable sports person who has served as Galatasaray Sports Club Marketing Manager, Turkish Football Federation Marketing Manager, Darüşşafaka Doğuş Basketball Marketing Manager, Sportsnet Octagon Coordinator, Pro League Committee Abu Dhabi Marketing and Communications Director. With the growth of the sports industry and technological developments, it has brought new markets, new organizations and strategies. An enjoyable seminar on new technology and marketing activities applied in sports marketing, by talking about Sports Marketing, 360 Degree Communication and Basic Elements, Branding and Brand Management, Sponsorship, Marketing in Clubs and Federations, which will give us different perspectives on sports marketing and the basic elements of communication. has been carried out. Participation in the seminar was well received by our students. Our instructors Deniz Demir Bolçay, Instructor Özgür Doğan, Research Assistant Mustafa Demir, Research Assistant Cüneyt Seydioğlu and Research Assistant Aydıner Attila participated in our school.
This project, which was started by Entrepreneur Athletes Club Consultant Instructor Tekmil Sezen Göksu in order to raise awareness of the Hearing Impaired, is being carried out together with the students of the Department of Sports Management. They sang the anthems of Beşiktaş Sports Club in the language of the hearing impaired.
