Artistic Gymnastics Balkan Championship held in our country after a long time added excitement. In the championship, in which 77 athletes from 10 countries participated, medals came one after another from our national athletes competing on behalf of our country.
On the first day of the championship, our Men's National Team won the championship in teams and became the owner of the gold medal. Our Women's National Team, which competed on the second day, became the third place in the teams and became the owner of the bronze medal.
Altan DOĞAN, one of our male national athletes in the 2005-2006 age category, won the gold medal, while his teammate Volkan Arda HAMARAT won the silver medal with the second place.
Oğuz Kaan KAYA, one of our male national athletes in the 2007-2008 age category, won the silver medal, and Çağrı YILMAZ finished third and became the owner of the bronze medal.
Deniz ŞÜKRÜOĞLU, one of our male national athletes in the age category of 2009-2010, completed the championship with the gold medal, and another athlete Bahadır ÇİMEN with the silver medal.
Our athlete Gülcenaz GÜLEN, who competed in the women's 2011-2012 age category, finished third in the championship and became the owner of the bronze medal.
While Atiye Berra KARADEMİR won the silver medal in the Women's Jumping Table and Women's Floor Equipment finals on the last day of the championship, our athlete Zeynep KURTULUŞ became the owner of the silver medal in the Women's Asymmetric Parallel final.
Altan DOĞAN, one of our national athletes, won a championship in the Men's Ring Machine, Floor Equipment, Pull-Up Equipment and Parallel Equipment, and by winning the gold medals one by one, he had a great championship and created a picture of pride for our country. Our other athlete Volkan Arda HAMARAT won the silver medal by coming second in the Ring Machine, Jumping Table and Parallel Equipment, and Oğuz Kaan KAYA shared the gold medal by reaching the championship together with Altan DOĞAN in the Ground Equipment final.
After the results, as the National Teams, they won a total of 20 medals throughout the championship and became the best country in the tournament.
