 Script Workshop

Hosted by Istanbul Gelisim University Vocational School; under the leadership of Radio and Television Programming; "Script Workshop" was organized on February 24 with the participation of screenwriter Koray YELTEKİN.

First of all, YELTEKİN explained what a screenplay is, then what the stages of a screenplay are and how it is developed, and provided students with professional and sectoral information about the field. Saying "A good idea is the beginning of everything", YELTEKİN emphasized the importance of the script by saying that a good script can make a good movie or a bad movie, but a bad script can never make a good movie. While stating that the screenplay first needs creativity, strong breaks, hard work and labor, he underlined that the principle of research should never be skipped during the writing phase. After the talk, students participated in a creative scenario development workshop by developing a given mise-en-scene.

After answering the questions of the participants, the program ended with the presentation of a plaque of appreciation to Koray YELTEKİN by Istanbul Gelisim University Vocational School Director Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdal ŞEN for his participation.
