Twitter's Bird Logo Has Been Added to the List of Endangered Animals by the World Wide Fund for Nature!

The bird logo, which has existed since Twitter's inception, has been replaced with the letter X.

Founded in 2006, Twitter takes its name from the bird chirping in its old logo. Larry, the iconic bird of Twitter, was replaced with the letter X as a result of the new decision. The update made its place on the world agenda with the change in the logo of the Twitter application on the mobile devices of the users.

As part of Twitter's branding activities, which was acquired by Elon Musk for $44 billion, the bird logo was updated with a white X on a black background. In addition to the logo update, which can also be expressed as a radical change; Changes were also made in many aspects such as Twitter's administrators, design, privacy and security policies. It is known that the logo change, which was learned with the announcement made by Musk from his social media account, was officially activated as of July 24. Linda Yaccarino, CEO of Twitter, also announced the new logo as "X is here" in the post on her social media account. In this context, the twitter.com address was also renewed and a redirect to x.com was provided.

A campaign for the update was launched in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the creative agency McCann Germany. In the campaign, Larry, Twitter's iconic bird, was added to the endangered animals list. Similar to Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, WWF historically listed the changes in Twitter's logo since its inception and visualized logo designs ending with the latest X symbol.
