 Turkey's Well-Being Brands


Well-being is a rising trend among brands with the Covid-19 pandemic. It is possible to say that individuals expect brands to be good for them as a new expectation in their consumption preferences.


Well-liked brands are brands that are good for consumers. Individuals tend to choose brands that are good for them as consumers. In addition, consumers are also advocating and recommending brands that are good for them. According to a study, consumers prefer to buy brands that are good for them.

What does it mean for consumers that a brand is good?

In the said study, when this question was asked to the participants; they stated that the brands they feel good about are of high quality, affordable, reliable, and pleasing. In the related research, it has been determined that 72% of consumers can accept to pay more if these features are available.

Other important findings obtained within the scope of the same research are; it is the data obtained about which category and which brands consumers prefer. When consumers were asked about the brands that best suited them in different categories, the following results were obtained:
  • In the category of “Automobile”; Among the top brands, BMW ranks first with 12%. BMW is followed by Audi (11%), Mercedes (7%), Ford (7%), Toyota (7%), Renault (7%), Volkswagen (6%) and Honda (5%). However, it is possible to say that German cars are generally preferred.
  • In the “White Appliances” category; Among the best-selling brands, Arçelik (32%) ranks first, Bosch (24%), and Beko (14%) third. Siemens (8%) and Samsung (6%) are in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
  • In the category of “Small Home Appliances”; Arzum (21%), Arçelik (15%), Philips (11%), Beko (9%), Fakir (6%), and Tefal (5%) brands are listed as the best brands.
  • In the “Ready-Made Clothing” category; LC Waikiki (32%) ranks first among the best-selling brands. It is followed by Defacto (12%), Cotton (10%), Blue (8%), Zara (8%) and Nike (5%).
  • The best brands in the "Self-Care" category are in approximate proportions, as in the "Automobile" category. They are listed as Avon (11%), L'Oreal (9%), Gratis (7%), Flormar (7%), Nivea (7%) and Farmasi (5%).
  • In the “Snack” category; Ülker ranks first with 42% and Eti ranks second with 27% among the top brands.
  • In the category of “Shoes”; The top brands are ranked as Nike (21%), Adidas (18%), FLO (16%), Kinetix (8%), and Puma (5%).
  • In the “Beverage” category; Among the top brands, Coca-Cola ranks first with 29% and Pepsi ranks second with 17%. Following these brands is Fanta with 8% and Cappy with 5%.
  • In the “Dairy Products” category; The top brands are Pınar (31%), Sütaş (25%), İçim (15%), Torku (9%), and SEK (7%).
  • In the “Video-on-Demand” category; Netflix (52%) is among the top brands by far. It is followed by Exxen (10%), BluTV (8%), YouTube (5) and Disney+ (5%).
  • In the “Supplementary Food” category; The top brands are listed as Pharmaton (14%), Supradyn (12%), Ocean (11%), and Redoxon (5%).
  • In the category of “Electronics”; Among the top brands, Samsung is at the top with 31%. It is followed by Apple with 9%, Arçelik with 7% and LG with 6%.
  • In the category of "Mobile Phone"; Among the top brands, Apple is in first place with 36%, while Samsung is in second place with 32%. Xiaomi is in third place with 14%.
