Although it differs from culture to culture, it is an undeniable fact that colors also have a language. From interpersonal relations to public relations, advertising and marketing activities, professionals pay great attention to the use of colors. In particular, the colors used in advertisements that motivate them to act on purchasing actually say something to consumers. Colors, which provide various sub-meanings such as reliability, economy and durability, play an important role in reaching the consumers of the brands.

Today, there are many brands that we can remember from just the color tone, no matter what sector they are from. These brands, which are identified with a unique color; It also provides various intangible and tangible gains such as association, awareness, image, reputation and value.

It is possible to list the brands used by the colors and their meanings as follows:
  • White: In addition to being frequently preferred especially in product advertisements for babies, the white color evoking purity, cleanliness and hygiene; It is also seen in brands such as Nike, Gucci, Adidas. It is a very common color with black, red and blue colors.
  • Black: The color black, which represents power and nobility; It is used extensively with other colors as well as white. It is possible to see that it stands out in brands such as Mercedes and BMW.
  • Blue: Many brands such as Facebook, Samsung, Türkiye İş Bankası, Oral-B, IBM prefer the color blue in their logos to symbolize the meanings such as peace, trust, authority, power, loyalty and success.
  • Red: It is the color of sales and marketing. The color red is the color that most stimulates the subconscious of consumers. The color red, which symbolizes dynamism, mobility, vitality, love, passion and excitement; It is used by various brands such as Coca Cola, Levi's, Red Bull, Pizza Hut, Vodafone.
  • Yellow: It is a light and bright color and draws attention in this direction. The color yellow, which evokes a feeling of positive energy, happiness, excitement, joy and has the effect of activating the consumers; It is included in the logos of brands such as CAT, Lipton, Vakıf Bank, Bic, McDonalds.
  • Green: The color green representing life; evokes nature, vitality and peace and is used by brands such as Bp, Starbucks, Garanti BBVA.
  • Orange: The orange color in the logos of brands such as Shell, Fanta, JBL, TeknoSA also has the characteristics of both colors, as it comes from the mixture of yellow and red. It is an exciting, sincere, cheerful, lively color that is effective in triggering the sense of purchase.
  • Purple: It is a color that represents flamboyance, expensiveness and luxury. It is used by brands such as Milka and Asprey.
  • Pink: The color pink, which represents purity and innocence, is generally known as a feminine color. It is mostly used in products for women, brands such as Victoria Secret, Barbie.
  • Brown: Since it is also known as the color of earth, it has meanings such as confidence, power and naturalness. It is possible to see the brown color in the İstikbal brand. However, since it also has effects such as squeezing and squeezing, it is used especially by brands in the food industry to ensure customer mobility in places.
