 Special Public Relations doyen Betûl Mardin's visit to the World PR Day


Students of Istanbul Gelişim University, Istanbul Gelişim Vocational School, Public Relations and Publicity Program, Public Relations and Social Responsibility Club activities within the framework of the activities of Ivy Lee, celebrated as the World PR Day in many countries, on October 28, when the first press release in the world was presented. He was a guest in the house of the doyen Betûl Mardin.


Betûl Mardin, who brought the concept of public relations to Turkey, established the first public relations agency in our country and was the first Turkish president of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), answered the questions of the students about the sector.
 
Activity; it was held under the leadership of Public Relations and Social Responsibility Club Consultant Instructor, Istanbul Gelişim University, School of Applied Sciences Deputy Director Assist. Prof. Emel Tozlu, Lect. Fulya Beteş, Head of Marketing and Advertising Department at Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School and Lect. Atilla Akalın. Betûl Mardin at the event; She advised the students that if they want to be successful in the field of public relations, they should pay attention to foreign languages by closely following the agenda of our country and the world. She talked about the importance of coding in every program watched and in every novel read, and the importance of decoding and interpreting these codings.
 
Doyen of Public Relations, emphasizing the importance of knowing and nourishing one's roots and family's past; she emphasized to the students that the most basic principle they should adopt after entering the sector is to choose honest customers or companies, otherwise a negative label that will stick on them will follow them throughout their lives and make them unsuccessful in this business.
 
Examining the activity reports containing the projects carried out by the students in the past year, MARDIN mentioned that especially in the execution of social responsibility projects, we have love in us and reflect this to our work is the most important element of executing successful projects.
 
Examining the student projects included in the reports, Betûl MARDİN congratulated the students and their teachers and stated that the implementation projects constitute the backbone of public relations, saying "Practice without public relations, public relations without practice".
