Meta's new application, Threads, has recently been made available to users. This new application of Meta, founded by Mark Zuckerberg, is an application that works in conjunction with Instagram and rivals Twitter. Threads was available in over 100 countries; however, access could not be provided in countries that are members of the European Union due to regulations regarding user data. Despite this, Threads, which reached 10 million users in the first 7 hours after it was opened to users, and 100 million users in less than a week, took its place on the world agenda.
Threads is a text-based application. Up to 500 characters can be shared. In addition to text-based content, it is also possible to share different content types such as photos and videos. Every user who registers in the application, which has high followers and accounts such as famous names, political leaders, social media phenomena, can see the order of registration. The application works with the logic of follower and followed.
In the first days of being on the agenda, the number of active users of the application, where users spent a lot of time, started to decrease. However, it is possible to say that people or organizations that find a place in social media are still actively involved in this media.
The application, which shared its first updates with users, is expected to make new updates in the coming days, like other social media platforms, in order to provide ease of use to users.
