Zeynep ÖZCAN, Lecturer from Istanbul Gelişim Vocational School Public Relations and Publicity Program, took part as a jury member at the International Göbeklitepe Short Film Festival, which was held for the second time this year.
The 2nd International Göbeklitepe Short Film Festival, named after Göbeklitepe, which is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the world in Şanlıurfa province, was organized in Şanlıurfa by Ankara Şanlıurfa Volunteers Association on 14-15 October 2023. A total of 953 films from 79 countries applied to the festival. Evaluation of applications; It was held by important names from the academy and art world, including Lecturer Zeynep Özcan from the Public Relations and Publicity Program.
As a result of the evaluations made by the jury members within the scope of the festival, the top three festival films are respectively; The films were "Örüntü" directed by Erkan SELÇİ, "Yılkılar" directed by Prof. Dr. Özer KANBUROĞLU and "Arayış" directed by Orhan DEDE.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynep Abidin Beyazgül, Akçakale Mayor Mehmet Yalçınkaya, Hilvan Mayor Aslan Ali Bayık, Haliliye Deputy Mayor Ahmet Hamdi attended the gala and award ceremony of the 2nd International Göbeklitepe Short Film Festival held in Şanlıurfa on 14-15 October 2023. Çiçek, Şanlıurfa Mukhtars Association President Mehmet Kesto, academics, artists, students and art lovers attended.
The top three films of the festival were presented with their awards by the protocol at the award ceremony.
