The synchronous (live) lectures of students and university lecturers and faculty members, and the realization of online meetings, in order to eliminate the fears and anxieties experienced by the students during this period, the panics in the society, and to ensure continuous, interactive, uninterrupted communication and information flow, helped crisis communication. As stated in the World Health Organization's Epidemic Communication Guide, transparency has also been observed in university crisis communication management processes, increasing confidence in the society and reducing panic. Crisis is defined in the public relations literature as a situation that causes tension, anxiety, insecurity, exhaustion, fear, loneliness, overreaction, self-defense, and creates tension in individuals or institutions.
It has been announced that university students and faculty members will be able to meet their internet needs by going to public institutions and organizations in order to reduce their concerns such as internet connection problems during the exam period and online courses. During the coronavirus period, clear, understandable, honest, impartial, transparent and constructive transmission of messages in education became the basic components of a successful crisis communication.
