 Safety in Work Equipment

It is vitally important to act in accordance with lockout and tagging procedures at all stages such as work equipment malfunction, maintenance and installation, and to take the necessary precautions with locking equipment and warning signs in accordance with the procedure by cutting off the power from the main line in cases where the equipment does not work.

Locking and tagging procedures should be determined and the implementation stages should be written down and their compliance should be reviewed at least once a year. Written procedures with visuals of work equipment should be posted in places that will attract the attention of all workers. The locking equipment to be used during the application should be clearly stated. Separate locking and tagging procedures should be prepared for each work equipment. Switches, valves and plugs designated as energy control points should be defined in accordance with procedures and standards.
