Free Public Transport for Healthcare Professionals
The right to free public transport for healthcare workers has been extended until June 2022. Within the scope of the measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, health workers will be able to use public transportation services free of charge, provided that the relevant municipality decides.
The right to free public transportation, which was brought during the pandemic period, was extended until December 31, 2021, with the Presidential decree in the Official Gazette dated October 28. With the latest update, health workers will be able to benefit from public transportation until 30 June 2022. It covers the personnel working in all public and private health institutions. It will be possible to travel with the means of transportation provided by the relevant municipality.
