Vehicles designed in hyperloop technology, known as the 'fifth generation mode of transportation', move through the vacuum tunnel without touching the rail. There are 16 finalist teams in the 'Hyperloop Development Competition', which was held for the first time this year within the scope of TEKNOFEST in order to encourage university students in the field of technology and to improve themselves. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, who attended the award ceremony of the Hyperloop Development Competition, said, "I hope we will carry our country to the position it deserves in hyperloop technology and in the field of new generation transportation." said. Minister Varank pointed out that they have established a very serious infrastructure for hyperloop races and stated that they race the vehicles developed by the students with 208-meter-long vacuum tunnels. Noting that this competition was held for the first time in our country, Varank said, "Similar events are being held in Europe and America, and infrastructures are being established. This infrastructure that we have established in Turkey at the moment is approaching its counterparts in Europe and America, and even the best in Europe. It's one of the infrastructures. It's a real pleasure and pride for us to organize such a competition and enable our young friends to work and research on the technologies of the future. We have established a successful synergy here." he said.
