Stating that light exercises should be done to keep the immune system strong, Quality Life Specialist Assoc. Dr. Haluk Saçaklı said, “While light exercises strengthen our immune system, high-intensity exercises can harm our immunity, contrary to what is known. As the intensity of the sport increases, the rate of some waste materials accumulated in the muscles begins to increase in parallel. These waste materials accumulating in our body naturally cause our immune system to collapse.

In addition, Haluk Saçaklı stated that intense exercise also paves the way for the weakening of the immune system because it increases stress hormones. With the exercise applied, we will put a lot of oxygen into the body. The coronavirus is destroying our lungs the most. The more oxygen is introduced into the lungs, the stronger the immune system will be.
