The CEO of Baykar Defense company, Selçuk Bayraktar, stated that the SİHA, which will be released under the name TB-3, will be put into service in the next period. The TB-3 will be able to take off from the short runway on the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, which was launched last year and the final assembly processes have begun. In terms of its features, it will be an improved version of the TB2 with a folding wing structure. In this aircraft, which will use a domestic engine, there will be a domestic TEI-PD170 Turbodiesel Aviation Engine with 172 horsepower (61% more powerful than TB2) produced by TUSAŞ Motor Industry or TEI for short. It will be included in the inventory with a 14 m wingspan, 8.35 m length, 300 km/h cruise speed, 280 kg payload capacity, SATCOM satellite connection, line-of-sight and beyond communication.
