Smuggling Risk at Customs Will Be Prevented by 'Guard'
In order to prevent smuggling at the customs gates, risk analysis is implemented with artificial intelligence. With the 'Guard' software, artificial intelligence will be used in risk situations that cannot be revealed by human effort.
The 'Guard' software has been financed from the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) funding. Developed under the leadership of TÜBİTAK Bilgem with domestic and national resources, the software was developed using big data, artificial intelligence and cloud computing applications, and successful results were obtained in the tests. It is expected to speed up the fight against smuggling and irregularity at customs gates, decision-making processes and customs control procedures. In addition, vehicle and ship tracking data will be taken regularly with the 'Guard' software, thus instantaneous detection of abnormal situations will be possible.
