The public share ratios to be taken from the revenues of public and private companies providing pilotage and tugboat services were rearranged to vary between 10 and 30 percent.
The public share received from the revenues for pilotage and tugboat operations for ships passing through the straits was determined as 20 percent. This public share; 30 percent for those in the area of Gemlik, Iskenderun, Aliaga, Ambarli, Mersin and Kocaeli regional port authorities; 25 percent for the central areas of İzmir, Samsun, Tekirdağ, Tuzla, Yalova and Bandırma regional port offices; 20 percent for those in the administrative center areas of Istanbul, Antalya, Zonguldak, Çanakkale and Karadeniz Ereğli and for the Taşucu and Karabiga regional areas; the other region was determined as 10 percent for the port areas.
