Mardaş Port Hosted Istanbul Gelisim University Students

Gelisim University students had the opportunity to get to know their dream profession closely at Mardaş Harbor.
İstanbul Gelişim University Vocational School Maritime Club organized a technical trip to the MARDAŞ LİMAN İŞLETMESİ A.Ş.
Maritime Club members, Maritime and Port Management and Logistics program students participated in the event, which was organized by Levent BAKIR, İrşad BAYIRHAN and Tuğçe YILMAZ, Maritime and Port Management Program Lecturers. With the Technical Trip, it was aimed that the students could observe one of the future fields of work professionally by seeing the operation of the theoretical knowledge in the courses in the field. In addition, in the organization, the students were provided with the necessary information about Port Operations for their professional qualifications and to make observations in the application areas.
“THE DAY OF WORKING PROCESS IS INTRODUCTION”
The students, who followed the process of operation in the enterprise throughout the day, got information about the business with the presentation made by Port Operations Manager Selçuk Benni. During the tour, the team of Gelişim University, which included pier and field applications in port operations, was informed about the subject from Port Operations Chief Yusuf ÇETİN and Container Field Operations Chief Ali ZAMAN. The continuation of the practices in the knowledge transfer process contributed to the students' seeing the practices without depending on the theory.
After the trip, the students did not neglect to direct their questions to the authorities. In the event, students had the chance to learn by asking questions they were curious about.
